Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar will be called to Delhi if required, says Congress central observer Shinde
Congress leaders Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar, both of whom are seen as front-runners for the post of Karnataka Chief Minister, will be called to Delhi for consultations, if required, according to central observer Sushil Kumar Shinde. Observers along with Congress leaders Randeep Singh Surjewala and K C Venugopal will go to Delhi to present their report based on feedback received at the Congress Legislative Party meeting; only party president Mallikarjun Kharge can reveal it. The Karnataka Congress Legislature Party unanimously passed a resolution authorizing Kharge to choose the new Chief Minister of the State.
