Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, has praised the people of Karnataka for allowing hope to flourish again and defeating a “fascist, communal and divisive” BJP in the Assembly election. She cautioned against recent developments in Delhi, which she deemed a “wake-up call for everyone as it can happen anywhere in the country”. Mufti stated that her party PDP will contest the next Assembly election, although she will not contest until Article 370 is restored. She noted that Jammu and Kashmir was hit first by “divisive and communal politics” and claimed that China was interfering as a result of Article 370.
