Look for opportunities in AMCs on a stock-by-stock basis: Anshul Saigal

Consolidation has been observed in both AMC and insurance sectors, leading to opportunities on a stock by stock basis. Valuations in the insurance sector were at their peak, resulting in significant over-ownership, and hence, consolidated for the last two years. Likewise, AMC valuations rose due to uncertainties around expense ratios. However, the prices of AMC and insurance stocks have not fallen despite the adverse news on expense ratios, suggesting that such news has already been built into prices.
