No documented evidence on ‘Sengol’ being symbol of transfer of power by British to India: Congress
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has alleged that claims of the ‘Sengol’ being described as a symbol of transfer of power from the British to India by Lord Mountbatten, C Rajagopalachari and Jawaharlal Nehru are bogus. He alleged that the sceptre was being used by PM Modi and his followers for political gain in Tamil Nadu.
