Won’t accept Deputy Assembly Speaker post, says Congress MLA Puttarangashetty
Congress leader C Puttarangashetty has refused to take up the position of deputy speaker of the Karnataka Assembly although the party had cleared his name for the role. Puttarangashetty, who is aspiring to become a minister, said he made the decision not to accept the post after he was asked by his supporters and voters to decline it to maintain his accessibility to them.
