Among the other reasons given in the forms were “Social worker, most approachable and down to earth person,” and “false FIR lodged against candidate.” The reasons “No other candidate has similar ground support,” and “no such prospect found to replace him,” also made the top 10 list, when in fact, they are describing the winnability of the candidates, rather than their achievements or qualification as directed by the apex court.
