Wrestlers protest: BKU leader Tikait announces ‘mahapanchayat’ in Muzaffarnagar on Thursday

BKU leader Naresh Tikait has announced that a mahapanchayat will be held in Muzaffarnagar’s Soram village to discuss the protest by wrestlers against India’s Wrestling Federation (WFI) chief, Brij Bhushan Singh, over sexual harassment allegations. Olympic medallists Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia, and Vinesh Phogat had threatened to immerse their medals in the Ganga during their Haridwar protest before being convinced by Khap and farmer leaders to postpone action for five days.
