‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ now ‘Beti BJP ke netaon se bachao’: Congress slams government over wrestlers issue

The Congress party has criticised the BJP for not addressing the ongoing protests by wrestlers, who are calling for action against the Wrestling Federation of India’s chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who has been accused of sexually harassing several female wrestlers. Three medal-winning wrestlers had threatened to immerse their Olympic and World medals in the Ganga river to protest against Singh, but were persuaded by farmer leaders to wait five days.
