“Extremely unfortunate,” Kiren Rijiju after Rahul Gandhi says Muslim League is ‘secular’ party
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s assertion that the Indian Muslim League (IML) is a “completely secular party”. Rijiju asked how it was possible to classify Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s party as secular when it was responsible for India’s partition on religious lines. The Indian Union Muslim League is an ally of the Congress-led alliance in Kerala.
