‘Will he or will he not?’ – All eyes on Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah’s second Cabinet meeting on rollout of five poll guarantees
The Karnataka Cabinet meeting on Friday has reportedly led to the decision on implementing the five guarantees promised by the ruling Congress during the Assembly elections in May. The party won 135 out of 224 seats, promising to implement the schemes if they formed a government in Karnataka. These include free power, monthly assistance to every family, free rice to every member of below poverty line households, monthly payments to unemployed youth and free bus travel for women in public transport buses.
