There are things bigger than politics when you step outside the country, says EAM Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said that “there are sometimes things bigger than politics” when travelling abroad, days after Rahul Gandhi criticised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi whilst on a visit to the US. Jaishankar stated that although he differs strongly with others, he did not believe in discussing politics when outside of India. Speaking in Cape Town, Jaishankar noted that a significant part of Indian foreign policy was now focussed on securing the welfare of Indian citizens abroad.
