Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has stated that the state cabinet will soon be expanded, but the timeline will be decided by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Fadnavis also revealed that the Shiv Sena and BJP will contest all elections together going forward, following discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. The council of ministers in the state can have a maximum of 43 members but currently has only 18. There was no specific timeline given for the cabinet expansion.
