EC should tell people why no elections in Jammu & Kashmir: Omar Abdullah
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has urged the Election Commission to explain why assembly elections in the area had not been held. Abdullah challenged reports that the government was hopeful that assembly elections could be held at the end of the year and said he believed the situation is such that they cannot hold [free and fair] elections.
