SpiceJet shares jump over 7% after airline partners with FTAI Aviation to restore fleet

SpiceJet is set to receive up to 20 engines on lease from FTAI Aviation as part of its revitalisation programme. The deal will also include maintenance services. The airline said the partnership programme would reduce maintenance expenses and minimise aircraft downtime, and would be critical for providing service on new routes. The first set of engines will be used in reactivating the airline’s fleet over the next few months.
