The BSE Metal index extended gains for the 6th consecutive session and closed the day at 7,439.05 points or 0.99%. The index opened higher at 7,408.72 as against its previous close of 7,366.14 points. It hit a high and a low of 7,514.57 and 7,408.27 points respectively.
