Rupee fell 14 paise to 82.08 against the dollar in early trade on Tuesday, as global and domestic equities faced negative sentiments while foreign funds withdrew from the equity market. Rupee’s dollar trade participation fell as the US observed a holiday in the previous session. The domestic unit opened at 82.03, touched its lowest level of 82.09, before hitting peak of 82.03 during intra-day trades. On Monday, Rupee was settled at 81.94. Brent crude benchmark was trading 0.09% lower at USD 76.02 per barrel, and the dollar index was down 0.05% at 102.47.
