Sensex recovers 526 pts from day’s low to end 159 pts higher; What’s behind U-turn
The BSE Sensex rose by 0.25% to reach 63,328, led by gains in tech and financial stocks, while caution ahead of US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s congressional testimony capped the gains. The Nifty index closed 0.33% higher at 18,816. Tata Motors, Power Grid, and HCL Tech were the main contributors to Sensex’s gains.
