The Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, has instructed authorities to identify and take legal action against those responsible for spreading fake news on social media, particularly in light of the approaching 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Siddaramaiah has also instructed officials to resume fact-checking and to submit monthly reports on the issue.
