The meeting is intended to forge a united opposition front under the leadership of Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, to challenge the BJP. The meeting comes after JD(U) said that Mayawati had not been invited, which led to conflict. Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann, MK Stalin, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge are among the leaders expected to attend.
