Uniform Civil Code can’t be forced on people by agenda-driven majoritarian govt: P Chidambaram
Congress leader P Chidambaram has criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposal for a Uniform Civil Code (UCC), stating that it cannot be forced on people by a majority government and will only divide the nation further. Chidambaram believes that the prime minister is using the UCC to divert attention from issues such as unemployment and hate crimes.
