Uniform Civil Code: BJP prepares pitch for UCC implementation
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has started discussing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s endorsement of the idea. The party believes that initiating this discussion will help the country move towards implementing the UCC. The Uttarakhand government has already formed a committee on the UCC, whose report is expected in the coming months.
