The rupee opened weak at 82.05 against the US dollar due to firm crude oil prices, but later traded almost flat at 82.02. The currency moved in a narrow range of 82.01 to 82.07. In the equity market, the Sensex and Nifty reached all-time highs in early trade, supported by fresh foreign fund inflows. Foreign Portfolio Investors were net buyers on Wednesday, purchasing shares worth Rs 12,350 crore. The dollar index was trading down by 0.06% and Brent crude oil was up 0.40%.
