Karnataka rolls out free rice scheme; money to BPL families likely after July 10
The BJP has been critical of the programme, accusing the government of breaking its word to the people. The Congress in turn slammed the BJP, calling the Centre anti-poor. Veteran BJP leader BS Yediyurappa had warned that should the regime fail to deliver rice on deadline, he would launch an agitation on July 4.
