In a split in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), its senior leader Ajit Pawar joined the Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government as deputy chief minister. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar blamed Ajit Pawar for “breaking up the NCP”. Sharad Pawar said he is not worried over the party symbol and would go to the peoples’ court and present his stand.
