Correct and that is why I want to be on the side of common sense and stuff which has been empirically known for generations and which makes sense.
My reason for the scepticism of books by people like Dr Attia is that they try to peddle the latest trend/fad. When intermittent fasting was the “in-thing” and starting off, he was there on every podcast talking about it. Now, longevity is one of the key interest areas of the super-rich and he is out trying to push that.
I tend to be wary of such folks. Better to stick to basic research journals and common sense.
In any case, what he has mentioned in the book is also very basic: eat well, exercise, sleep are all things that our grandparents and parents have also told us (probably) and not something that we don’t know.
