Avenue Supermarts, owner of the retail chain DMart, reported standalone revenues of Rs 11,584 crore for the first quarter of the fiscal year, an 18% increase from the previous year. The company added three stores during the quarter, bringing the total store count to 327. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, DMart managed to achieve impressive growth and revenue. Brokerage firm Motilal Oswal expects DMart’s revenue to continue growing at a compound annual growth rate of 27% in the coming years. The stock currently trades at a discount compared to its historical multiples.
