Maharashtra Coup: 35 of 53 NCP MLAs, 5 of 8 MLCs attend Ajit Pawar’s meeting
Most of the Nationalist Congress Party MLAs and MLCs attended the party meeting convened by Ajit Pawar, the new deputy chief minister of Maharashtra. Ajit Pawar requires the support of 36 MLAs to avoid disqualification. The Pawar factions of the Nationalist Congress Party held meetings to show their strength today. Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar held meetings in south Mumbai and suburban Bandra, respectively. Both factions have claimed to have more MLAs supporting them.
