Sharad Pawar leaves for Delhi to attend NCP National Executive meeting

Sharad Pawar, leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), has called a National Executive meeting in Delhi amidst the political crisis in Maharashtra. Posters of support had appeared outside Pawar’s residence in Delhi before being removed by the New Delhi Municipal Council. Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, has staked claim to the NCP and the party symbol, which has been challenged by Jayant Patil of Sharad Pawar’s group.
