Manish Sisodia, an Aam Aadmi Party leader, has approached the Supreme Court to get bail in the alleged Delhi excise policy scam cases filed by the CBI and ED, which were earlier denied by the Delhi High Court. Sisodia, who was holding the excise portfolio as the deputy chief minister when first arrested on February 26, has been in custody and subsequently resigned from the Delhi cabinet on 28 February. The high court rejected his bail application on May 30 and on July 3, in the CBI and ED cases, respectively.
