Uddhav Thackeray accuses BJP of ‘splitting’ other parties as it wasn’t confident of winning polls on its own

Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray accused the BJP of engineering “splits” in other parties and shifting focus to issues like the Uniform Civil Code to divert people’s attention ahead of polls. Thackeray, on his tour in Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region, dared BJP to keep its investigative agencies aside and come to the political arena. Thackeray also alleged that schemes offered by the central government were “bogus” and criticised allegations of corruption in BMC during the COVID-19 pandemic.
