Heavyweights, auto stocks lift Sensex by 274 pts; Nifty above 19,400 ahead of quarterly results
Nifty stays range-bound for sixth straight session. Eight of the 13 major sectoral indices logged gains, with auto and fast moving consumer goods indices adding over 1.2% each after several brokerages, including HSBC, Citi and Jefferies, reiterated their bullish outlook on earnings growth in the sectors. The market cap of all listed companies on BSE increased by Rs 1.91 lakh crore to Rs 301.32 lakh crore.
