After NCP split, Maha Congress leaders told to close ranks, and begin poll work
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi appealed to the 20-odd senior state Congress leaders to strengthen the internal unity of the Maharashtra Congress in the run-up to the polls, a call that also gains importance given the factional issues in the state Congress as well as the reported bid by the BJP to poach Congress MLAs.
