Modi govt ‘hell-bent’ on killing scientific research in country, alleges Congress
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has accused the Modi government of blocking scientific research in India due to a lack of funding. Scientists in top research institutes have yet to receive funding for the current financial year, causing delays and hampering critical research projects. The government’s Budget in 2023 slashed scientific research funding by nearly 7%.
