Success during elections is sum of smaller parties
In the run up to the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, smaller parties are in big demand, putting them in a negotiating position, whether it is with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance NDA or the Opposition’s United Progressive Alliance. These parties had won less than 10 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, with some drawing a blank. But their hold on some vote banks is what makes them attractive.
