Assam Court sets August 5 as the next hearing date for Congress’ Jignesh Mevani
A court in Assam’s Barpeta has fixed August 5 as the next date of hearing in a case filed against Congress Leader and an MLA from Gujarat’s Vadgam constituency, Jignesh Mevani. Then Independent MLA from Vadgam, Jignesh Mevani was arrested by the Assam police from Palanpur in Banaskantha district last year following a complaint over two of his tweets against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
