Just because Sheela saw fit to pay a king’s ransom for Kurlon in cash (cash that will undoubtedly be raised by borrowing and using Sheela’s highly-valued stock as secondary collateral), doesn’t mean that that every player should make hay!
Secondly, considering the Mammen family’s enormous business interests (both MRF and significant private assets in Kerala), why would they expend their mental bandwidth on growing such a small company? It is obvious that they don’t care about MM Rubber when they have MRF to run. The fact that MM even exists or is publicly traded is probably a historic anomaly that the family doesn’t even care to remedy. It’s been forgotten.
I think an investor should first understand why the company has never grown in the past before thinking of the possibility that it could grow in the future.
