At least 11 parties with a total of 91 members in Parliament have chosen to remain neutral in the Indian general elections next year, while 65 parties have joined either the BJP or Congress-led coalition. Three of these parties are from large states Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Odisha. Congress and other opposition parties unveiled the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) to take on the BJP-led NDA, which now has 39 parties.
