Manipur: Both houses of parliament adjourned for the day
Opposition members of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha caused noisy interruptions on Thursday amid demands for a discussion on the situation in Manipur. Despite reassurances from Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi that the government was open to discussion, and a promise from Deputy leader Rajnath Singh that a similar offer had been made, opposition members continued to shout slogans.
