The opposition disrupted Parliament proceedings and did not allow a discussion on the Manipur issue, the BJP alleged on Thursday and said a debate would have sent out a “meaningful and positive” message to the people of the violence-hit state. Senior BJP leader and former law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said the party “condemns” the incident in which two women were paraded naked in the state and asserted that strict action is being taken by the state government in the case.
