A team of 30 members from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has begun the scientific survey of Gyanvapi mosque complex in Varanasi. The survey aims to determine whether the mosque is built upon a temple. The Hindu side is optimistic that the survey’s result will be favorable to them. The Varanasi Court had allowed the ASI survey, excluding the Wazu tank, which has been sealed. The ASI team is expected to submit a report to the court by August 4, including videos and photos of survey proceedings.
