Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma changed his Twitter bio from “India” to “Bharat” to represent his journey from the Congress to the BJP. His move responded to the newly formed opposition coalition’s name INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance). Sarma had said that the conflict between civilization pivots around India and Bharat, and the Indian people must free themselves from colonial legacies. Congress responded by saying that “India is Bharat, and Bharat is India”.
