Karnataka: Shivakumar’s ‘no funds for development’ comment draws ire of BJP, citizen groups
The Karnataka government's inability to provide funds for development due to the allocation of INR 40,000 crore to implement the five election guarantees has come under harsh criticism from opposition parties and citizen groups. MLAs who have requested funds for developing their constituencies have expressed dissatisfaction with this decision. Speaking to the media, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar admitted that they were unable to give grants for development of constituencies this year.
