Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has warned that if the ethnic conflict in Manipur is not resolved soon, it may create security problems for India. Violence broke out in Manipur on May 3 after a Tribal Solidarity March was organised in the hill districts to protest against the Meitei community’s demand for Scheduled Tribe (ST) status, killing over 160 people since then and injuring hundreds.
