Opposition MPs move notices in Rajya Sabha seeking discussion on Manipur
Opposition MPs in India’s Rajya Sabha have submitted notices to discuss violence in the northeastern state of Manipur. MP Manoj Kumar Jha called for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make a statement and then demanded a detailed debate. Raghav Chadha also submitted a notice highlighting the violence’s impact on the region due to “the failure and incompetence of central and state governments”.
