The no-confidence motion against the Modi government in the Lok Sabha will be discussed on August 8, with the Prime Minister replying on August 10, according to sources. The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting was called by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to reach an agreement on the legislative agenda and to end the logjam in the house. Opposition leaders protested during the meeting that bills were being passed while the no-confidence motion should be given priority as per convention.
