Won’t tolerate insult to national icons; govt will take action against Congress mouthpiece for insulting V D Savarkar: Devendra Fadnavis

The Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced action against the Congress mouthpiece for allegedly ‘insulting’ the late Hindutva ideologue V D Savarkar. Fadnavis also announced police would investigate right-wing activist Sambhaji Bhide over allegations of making offensive remarks about Mahatma Gandhi’s lineage during a recent speech. Congress legislators demanded that Bhide face action for his alleged controversial remarks.
