SC/ST funds for Cong guarantees: BJP threatens state-wide stir if funds not restored to where it belongs
Basavaraj Bommai, former Chief Minister of Karnataka, has threatened to launch state-wide protests if the Congress government does not restore funds to the SC/ST welfare programmes. The funds were diverted to the implementation of five Congress guarantees. This comes as the Congress ruling in Karnataka has outlined plans to use SC/ST funds to pay for the five guarantees.
