Mamata hails SC order staying Rahul Gandhi’s conviction in Modi surname case
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee welcomed the Supreme Court’s order staying the conviction of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a defamation case over his Modi surname remark. The move will allow Gandhi to revive his Lok Sabha membership. Banerjee tweeted that she is “happy” about the news, and TMC MP Mahua Moitra retweeted her comments.
