The decision to withdraw Rahul Gandhi’s name as the lead speaker on the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha drew criticism from the treasury benches today. As Gaurav Gogoi took his place, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi asked why the Congress party had made the last-minute change. While Gogoi objected to Joshi’s remarks, member Nishikant Dubey took a dig at Gandhi by saying he may have woken up late and may not have been prepared.
