The Indian Congress has criticised those speaking of Quit India Day without having been part of the movement, demanding that those who did not take a stance on areas of concern including Manipur, petrol price hikes and quid pro quo with Adani “must quit”. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra added that the BJP’s “divide and rule” policy should liberate India from hate, inflation and unemployment. Meanwhile, the BJP has urged dynasticism, corruption and appeasement politics to quit India.
